About The Fieldale Heritage Festival

The goal of the Festival Committee is to continuously beautify and showcase the community in a way that will allow its future to be as bright and celebrated as its past. Each year Heritage Festival proceeds and donations are reinvested into the community.

The Fieldale Heritage Festival Committee was formed in March of 2006 and is comprised of Fieldale residents past and present, parties interested in the preservation and presentation of local history, local businesses and local government representatives. The proceeds and donations the Committee collects are reinvested into the Fieldale community. It is our focus to expand the offerings of the festival each year, to add at least one new permanent feature to the Fieldale community, and to help support the Fieldale Community Center. The Center is considered the heart and soul of Fieldale and opens its doors to us to host our celebration and our planning sessions.

Our contribution to Fieldale from the 2006 Festival, along with donations from numerous people, organizations and businesses, was to add over thirty permanent banners to the streets of Fieldale. The banners display the logo of the community and honor the people who made Fieldale such a wonderful place. Memorial plaques are affixed below the banners.

The 2007 Festival contribution, again along with generous donations, financed the addition of a permanent historical marker honoring the contributions of Colonel George Waller. We will also plan and sponsor a "George Waller Day" to celebrate the installation of the marker.

The 2008 Festival was hard work with great results. A thank you message is HERE.
